
Mark McCabe is a Commercial Lines Agent specializing in hospitality-based coverage for small to mid-size business owners. With over 14 years of direct sales experience in the hospitality industry, Mark brings a sharp, service-driven perspective to his role. Mark has earned the trust of hotel and small business owners thanks to his deep industry knowledge, responsiveness, and ability to make complex policies feel simple.
Mark focuses primarily on hospitality businesses—including hotels, restaurants, bars, distributors, and country clubs. Another area of focus is independent liquor, convenience stores, grocery, and gas stations. Mark represents hotels from every chain (Choice, Wyndham, IHG, Hilton, Marriott, Best Western) and ensures policies meet all brand requirements. Mark caters to hospitality groups with multiple locations/brands and helps simplify all insurance needs.

Before joining Hicks Insurance, Mark spent over a decade in the liquor distribution and hospitality industry. From sales rep to state manager, he developed a knack for relationship building, understanding client needs, and executing seamless service.
Mark has direct relationships with hotel insurance admins and understands the certificate of insurance (COI) requirements for various brands. He works closely with Hicks’ COI team to ensure policies meet brand compliance from the start, minimizing back-and-forth and eliminating errors.
In 2025 alone, Mark has brought on 40 new hotels to Hicks Insurance. In total, over $300k of combined savings for these customers vs previous carrier. In addition to Hotels, Mark represents Gas Stations, Liquor Stores, Restaurants, and Convenience Stores. For small business owners with various types of businesses, Mark provides one point of contact for all insurance needs.
Mark thrives on consistency, clear communication, and integrity. He’s passionate about supporting small business owners—particularly those from diverse cultural backgrounds—and has extensive experience working with Gujarati, Indian, and Middle Eastern clientele. He’s not interested in one-off transactions. His goal is to serve clients long-term by helping simplify complex commercial coverage and securing cost-effective, customized policies.

While not currently active in formal community organizations, Mark is looking into joining local business groups like the Rotary Club or local chambers to stay engaged with the Mokena-area business community.
Mark lives in the south suburbs of Chicago with his wife and two young daughters. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, hiking, and catching the occasional concert. A lifelong learner and people person, Mark values relationships in all areas of life.
